ORGANIZATION: A Must

It is hard to get organized. Especially when you have so many different fabrics in different sizes, thicknesses, etc. But here are some handy items to help get you motivated:

IKEA Antonius Wire Basket, $3.25
Cute for storing fabric scraps. Use a bookshelf and alternate between these wire baskets, the EMU boxes below, and simply folding the larger fabric pieces for a cute industrial yet retro look! Can't beat the price!

IKEA EMU set of 2 boxes, $6.99
Great for storing those small fabric scraps in that you want to save, yet don't look so great displayed out in the open.

IKEA Rationell Variera Spice Rack, $12.99
Hang a few of these for a really cute look. Great for small ribbons, buttons, laces, pins & needles, etc!

OfficeMax Aluminum Framed Cork Board
Don't forget to get a large cork board to use to lay out your latest quilt or project! This way, you can just pin the fabrics to the board, and not have to worry about leaving them out on the floor or on the table, which is usually in the way! These come in a wide variety of sizes, up to 8 feet by 4 feet. If you need bigger, buy more than one and group together.
